Making a Purchase:

What Payment do you Accept?We accept PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express 

When should I pay?Payment must be received before the item you purchased is shipped. This includes custom requests.Custom orders and made-to-order items, I begin production once the payment has cleared and/or materials are received. 

How do Pre Orders Work: Pre Orders are a great way for us to gauge interest in a specific fabric.  We have run up on buying too little or buying too much, and this solves that problem.  A pre order is usually only available for a limited time in order to have the quickest turn around. 

What is normal turnaround for a Pre Order? Pre order fabrics are ordered on the day after the sales end, we put it into production the second it arrives, and your items are ready to ship within 3-5 weeks.  We always state a time range for shipping on a pre order listing.  

What is an Extra Sale? When we make a pre order collection we make a little extra "just in case".  When the Pre orders are all shipped out- we put the extras on sale as a LAST CHANCE to get something you may not have known about, or had the time or money to grab 3-5 weeks ago.  Extras are also a great thing when you get your pre order, and realize you must have more! HAHA!

What if I want to cancel my order?If for any reason you need to cancel a purchase, please contact us as soon as possible. Once an order has shipped, shipping charges will not be refunded. If you have ordered a Club, custom, or pre-order, once the supplies have been purchased refunds may not be available, and store credit will be issued. Please understand that when you order a custom or a pre-order those items are being made especially for you, and refunds or credit will be based on how far production has gone before contact.

How many discounts can I use at once? The short answer is ONE Coupon code per person, and if after the coupon you are still over $125 and in the USA, you will also get Free Shipping.  Super Stitchers ALWAYS get Free Shipping, even if they use another discount code, just leave us a note and we will refund asap.  Please remember that we are a small business, and we make every single thing by hand. We give discounts to say thank you! Please do not abuse them.

Bag of the Month:

What is the Bag of the Month? The bag of the month was created to allow SSS to provide specialty fabrics for our favorite fandoms and indie artiests. Specialty fabric printing and sewing is pricey, so there is an additional cost involved, it comes out to about $5-$7 extra a bag. The Pre Order allows us to purchase the right amount of fabric so there is no waste.  These are super limited. Once it is gone, you may never see it again! Buying anything in the 

Am I obligated to buy more?  The Bag of the Month Collection DOES NOT obligate you to any future purchases.

Shipping:

How soon will you ship my package? Shipping is done most business days by 2:30pm PST. In stock items will ship within 3 business days of purchase.  Items “Made to Order” can take 3-5 weeks or more to make and then ship, and we will be in touch with you on the ETA of these items.**If you require expedited shipping, insurance, or have any questions, please contact us BEFORE checking out. Please contact us before purchasing if you have questions about time frames or fabric positioning. 

How do you Ship? Most packages are shipped via First Class USPS with a confirmation of delivery for US residents. Many packages will be shipped Priority Mail depending on size and weight. The total cost for your shipping includes handling costs. Handling costs include envelopes, packaging materials, and packaging labor. 

When will my Domestic order arrive? Most orders arrive within 3-7 business days. If your order seems to be taking unusually long, please feel free to contact us so that we can investigate together. We will do our best to help you get your order quickly.If a package is lost, and the post office confirms it, we will do whatever we can to come to a mutually agreeable solution. 

What Happens if my Shipment gets Lost? Most domestic orders take 1 to 4 business days to arrive after shipping. If your order is not delivered and the tracking says something other than "Delivered" please contact us immediately.If the tracking says “Delivered” Please take the following steps: 

1. Check with your entire household & neighbors. 

2. Speak to your mail carrier directly. 

3. Double check the address that was entered on your invoice. 

4. Contact Us at customerservice@slippedstitchstudios.com

5. After Contacting us- depending on the situation, we will ask that you give it 2-3 days as we have had several packages marked "Delivered" and not be delivered for 2-3 more days.If nothing turns up after this, we will ask you to please fill out a Missing Package Complaint with the USPS. We will need a copy of it to proceed. 

 

If your package is redirected, lost, or has some crazy "Mercury in retrograde style"  glitch- Do not fret.  We will replace or refund your order.  However, there may be a delay as we await the USPS response and confirm the status.  We ask that depending on the circumstance that you give these issues 1-2 weeks to resolve. We also ask that you remember that we are not a giant corporation like Amazon, and these items are handmade in the U.S.A., So replacement can also have a further delay- but we will always do our best to resolve things quickly!

 

At this point, we will discuss replacement options that fit your situation best. Please note that in some situation we will not resend the replacement to the same address. Replacement costs vary depending on the circumstances, please keep in mind that we are a small business, and that once an item leaves us, we have no ability to control the USPS’ handling of it. 

 

But rest assured we will always do our best to handle the situation in a fair manner.

How long do International orders take to arrive?Most orders arrive within 1-2 weeks. 20% of my international orders take up to 4 weeks. About 2% of international orders take from 6-8 weeks.please feel free to contact us should you become concerned. Please contact me before purchasing if you have questions about time frames or fabric positioning.**Please note some countries charge customs fees, and we have no way of knowing which will and for how much. If you are aware of your country's customs charges and need us to accommodate you further, please send us an email with how you would like it to be sent. 

How will I know when my order is shipped?You should receive a shipping conformation and tracking from customerservice@slippedstitchstudios.com after each order is ready to ship. If you are on Facebook, you can enable tracking to be updated via your messenger. 

Should I insure my large order?If you are ordering under  $200 value to ship internationally and you are concerned, please contact us for shipping insurance. This is the only way to track and apply insurance to large international orders. If you decide against this method, we cannot be held responsible for lost or delayed orders.Orders over $200 should have insurance for safety. You will need to contact us before the order ships if you would like a quote to insure your shipment.

How do I get Free Shipping?

We offer Free Shipping on all US Orders over $125. No coupon code is needed, the discount is taken at check out. This works for sale and non sale items.

Do you refund shipping?  We will ALWAYS pay for shipping on replacing or repairing a product. We take our quality control very seriously and stand behind our product.  Should you decide that you would like to return something for a refund or store credit for something unrelated to the product quality- then we do ask that you pay to return the item.

What Items Do you make Custom?

Currently, we will make all Sewn Products available in the shop custom.  

What is considered Custom? Items created & designed by Slipped Stitch Studios, can be remade in a custom fabric(s) that you provide, or that we have additional yardage of. Some alterations can be made to current designs to fit you better, for additional costs. Common alterations are resizing Swift covers and lengthening and shortening handle straps. Brand new, never before designed items are usually not available, but feel free to email us with questions. 

Is there a fee for Custom Work?Each item made or altered for you will have a $5 Custom Order Fee. If your order is over $300 the custom fee will be waived. Wholesale custom items have different parameters; please contact us if you are interested in wholesale custom work. 

Can I provide my own fabric?Yes. We love for you to get what you want in the perfect fabric; however, there is no discount for providing your own fabric. If you would like to purchase fabric online for this, please set up the custom order with us FIRST so that you can save on shipping by having it shipped directly to us. 

How long do Custom Orders take? Custom orders are made (sewn, or put together) on a first come first serve basis. We have a general estimate of 3-5 weeks for production once the fabric is received. This time is affected by several factors:If the product is an alteration or a fully custom request. (Alterations can be completed much faster.)How quickly fabric is received.Time of year. (Custom production is slowest between November and February for the Holidays and Show schedules)

Wholesale:

Since it's creation in 2009, Slipped Stitch Studios has grown to become a premier brand for fiber arts supplies. We specialize in functional project bags, pattern solutions, and many other organizational tools for knitting, crochet, and spinning. We market and retail our products online and at trade shows and partner with yarn clubs and yarn shops all over the world to get our products into the hands of our customers.Slipped Stitch Studios believes in empowering our customers to be themselves. We offer an ever expanding variety so that our wholesale clients can tailor a unique Slipped Stitch Studios experience. We will then set up your shop on our website with a special coupon code, and send you an email. Once you get that email, and log in, you are all set to purchase 24/7 from our website. We ship in stock items within 1-3 business days. Wholesale shipping is usually done via Priority Flat rate boxes. 

Please note that most fabric patterns are very limited, and are shipped on a first come first served basis. We update fabrics frequently, so liking us on Facebook, Twitter, or Ravelry to keep up with updates can be very helpful. 

 Please let us know before you order from a Pre-Order Sale. Limited Pre Order Fabrics are not available to wholesale until the Extras Release.  

Wholesale pricing is not available on "Full Sets" as they have already been discounted.

Return Policy: 

Do you do Refunds or Exchanges? We accept returns and exchanges. If for any reason you are unhappy with your item, please contact us and we will make arrangements to better suit you. Your happiness is ALWAYS our goal. 100% Satisfaction Promise! 

Return Policy:If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately due to the nature of the business, we can not offer you a refund but we are willing to work with you for store credit or an exchange. (We do however reserve the right to change our minds due to extenuating circumstances, so please contact us so that we can help you.) There are certain situations refunds are not available: any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery. 

Non-returnable items: Gift cards, custom orders (Unless we REALLY screwed up, in which case- we will do whatever is needed. 

 

To Return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. We also ask that you ship it back with the same care in packaging that we sent it to you.   

 

Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval of your refund or store credit.If you are approved for a refund, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days dictated by your bank. 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)If you haven’t received a refund yet, and we have confirmed with you that the refund was completed, first check your bank statement. You may need to contact your credit card company and/or bank as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us atinfo@slippedstitchstudios.com. 

Sale items are final (if applicable)Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.Exchanges (if applicable)We will fix or replace your item if it is defective or damaged. GiftsIf the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift card will be emailed to you.If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we can only send a refund to the gift giver, but if the item is acceptable for return, we will gladly take it back and issue the giftee a gift card for the website.

Unless the product was defective or damaged, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. 

Do I get a refund on shipping?Please note: Shipping charges are spent when the item is sent, and therefore not refundable. Please remember we are not a huge corporation, but a little shop with a couple of crafty peeps just trying to make cool stuff. <3

Is the Picture EXACTLY what I will get?  Yes and No. Most items will be very similar, but not exactly like the picture shown. Laura is the photographer for the shop as well as many other things, and we try to take the best picture that best represents the fabric. However the position of the fabric on the item you get may differ slightly. If there is a specific part of the fabric you love best, feel free to contact us for availability! 

Do you make everything yourself?Laura only occasionally jumps into the sewing. We have been in business since 2009, and to keep growing in the direction Laura has envisioned, she must have her hands in other areas more than sewing, like going to shows, talking to fiber lovers, and designing great new products that YOU want and need. 

We take a special pride in the Slipped Stitch Studios team! All sewn items are made right here in Orange County, CA by people like you and me who have amazing skills and want to make beautiful things. We hire Moms that want to stay at home with their kids, and artists that want to do what they love. We utilize Etsy suppliers, and indie graphic designers whenever we find something great!! If you're logged in to your account, your rewards will show.Our rewards are called Stitch points. For every dollar you spend, you gather 10 Stitches. $1 = 10 Stitches. (Shipping and tax are excluded).

Step 3: Cash In Points. You will get notified when you have enough points for a reward, or you can check your account to see where you are at.  Cash them in and use them whenever you like! (One at a time only!)
